What Should We Do When Babies Are Always Ill?

What Should We Do When Babies Are Always Ill?

Adequate sleep, proper exercise and reasonable cold and hot exercise can improve the resistance of the baby.

Adequate sleep can help the baby recover physical strength, promote growth and development. When the baby enters deep sleep, the pituitary gland will secrete a lot of growth hormone to help him grow up, so it is very important to develop regular sleep for the baby. It should start when the baby is very young. Newborn baby sleeps most of the time, but it’s time for him to learn to understand the difference between day and night. Try not to let your busy pace of life spoil the baby’s routine. When the baby begins to eat supplementary food, the number of nighttime feeding should be properly controlled so that he can gradually sleep all night. Dinner should not be too late, because too much food stays in the stomach will also affect the baby’s sleep.

Proper exercise can enhance the baby’s resistance. Baby can learn to look up from birth, and in the next few months, you can gradually teach him to learn to lie on his stomach, turn over, sit, climb and other skills. These exercises not only contribute to the development of the baby’s motor skills and sensory integration, but also accelerate energy consumption, improve appetite, ensure good sleep and promote baby’s growth.

Sticking to regular outdoor activities every day is also a good exercise. The feeling of fresh air, sunshine and weather changes will effectively stimulate the development of the baby’s immune system. More contact with other babies is helpful to enhance resistance and develop vision, because more contact with pathogens helps to activate the immune system of babies; more contact with children can help them establish their sociality. However, you had better not take your baby to polluted and densely populated public places, such as restaurants, shopping malls, especially the main roads.

When you take your baby out for outdoor activities, if the baby is less than half a year old and not active, you can wear one more layer of clothes for the baby than you. Half-year-old babies can wear as much as you do. Baby’s metabolism is more vigorous than adults, so he is easy to sweat. Wear too much is not easy to dissipate heat, after sweating, he is easy to get cold, making the baby more easily ill. Generally, it’s appropriate that the baby’s back neck is mild temperature and no sweat. The baby’s ability of self-regulating temperature is not perfect. In summer, the climate is hot. We should pay attention to timely ventilation and heat dissipation for baby, and supplement enough moisture.

Vaccination is an effective way to help babies prevent diseases. If your financial conditions permit, it’s best to vaccinate your baby with the Class II vaccine. In particular, timely vaccination of babies over 6 months old will help prevent winter flu. When someone in the family has a cold, pay attention to wearing masks and ventilation in the house to avoid cross-infection.

You need to pay attention to the fact that most of the baby’s colds are viral infections, so the use of antibiotics is ineffective generally. As long as the baby drink more water, rest more and pay attention to ventilation, he will soon recover. When the baby has a bacterial infection and the doctor suggests using antibiotics, you should take the full course of treatment to the baby according to the doctor’s advice carefully, instead of stopping the medicine as soon as the condition improves, in order to prevent the recurrence of infection.

In addition, if your baby is always sick repeatedly, take him to the hospital if necessary to eliminate the possibility of potential diseases.
