Newborn Baby: Don’t Use Milk Bottle for Baby First

Newborn Baby: Don’t Use Milk Bottle for Baby First

Did you know that the wrong use of the milk bottle can affect your baby’s health? After the baby is born, some new mothers don’t have much milk, so they immediately use a milk bottle to feed the baby milk or water. Other new mothers continue to use milk bottles when their babies are two or three years old to save time. These mistakes will be very bad for your baby’s health.

How to use the milk bottle correctly? How to feed a healthy baby with a milk bottle? When should parents give up the milk bottle? Whether breast-feeding or artificial feeding baby, “milk bottle” is the most important survival tool for babies. Mothers can’t ignore the great learning inside the milk bottle.

Newborn baby: don’t use the milk bottle first.

The baby is hungry, but the new mother has no milk for the time being. At this time, some parents start feeding the baby with a milk bottle. But in fact, the baby has just been separated from the mother’s body, and there are still some nutrients in the body that can maintain survival, so he is not particularly eager to eat. If in hot summer, baby sweating, parents can use a spoon to give him less water. But never use a milk bottle, let alone a milk bottle to feed milk powder.

Because generally speaking, it is less labor-saving for a baby to suck a rubber pacifier than breast milk. If a baby is fed milk with a milk bottle after birth, and then breast milk is used, the baby will easily experience the illusion of nipple, and then there are phenomena such as milk refusal and agitation, resulting in the difficulty of breast milk, which will not only prevent the baby from getting the nutrients contained in the maternal colostrum, but also can make the new mother’s breast swell and induce mastitis. If the baby does not suck the mother’s nipple for a long time, it may also cause the new mother’s milk to decrease.

The right way is to squeeze the nipple of the new mother artificially after the baby is born, and let the baby suck the nipple of the mother. At this time, it can be seen that there is a clear milk overflow, which is called colostrum. Colostrum contains not only protein, fat and sugar which are easy to digest and absorb for babies, but also a lot of immune substance IgA and lysozyme which have a bactericidal effect. These substances can protect the baby from disease, prevent allergic reactions and enhance the baby’s disease resistance. Breast milk is the best natural food for the baby.

Colostrum can make the baby obtain strong passive immunity. The incidence of physiological jaundice is obviously low for the baby sucking colostrum, while the baby without colostrum is prone to diarrhea, upper respiratory tract infection, and even pneumonia. Therefore, even if the breast milk is insufficient, let the baby hold the mother’s nipple to continuously try to suck, stimulate the breast with the baby’s sucking force, promote the secretion of breast milk, and promote the new mother’s uterine reduction, reduce postpartum hemorrhage.
