Safety Instructions for Baby Toys

Safety Instructions for Baby Toys

Toys are treasures of childhood, but when choosing toys, you must pay attention to the safety of toys. The following safety instructions for baby toys can help your baby play safely and happily.

Babies should be cared for when they play with toys. Usually, it’s safer to keep your baby’s playground tidy and have someone watch over their play. If there are warnings and instructions on the toys which let parents take care of babies, parents should try to follow them.

Make sure toys are suitable for babies. Check the age range of the toys. Is it equal to the ability level of the baby? Most toys have “recommended age” instructions, which can be used as a first step in choosing toys. When choosing age-appropriate toys, we must correctly understand children’s ability and development level. Some toys are designed for throwing or can shoot bullets. They are not suitable for children under 4 years old. Even some six-year-old children are not able to play with these toys.

Be far-sighted. Toys for babies under 3 years of age need to be carefully selected. Before the baby is 3 years old, toy parts should be bigger than his mouth in order to avoid suffocation. Similarly, if your baby is still putting everything in his mouth at the age of 4, you should still avoid playing toys and games with widgets and accessories as before.

Is the toy too heavy? If it falls on the body, will the baby be injured? If so, don’t buy it.

Buy well-made toys. Check whether the toys have loose hair, widgets and sharp edges. The tail stitching of toys should be safe, the seams of plush toys should be strong, and the paint should not fall off. In addition, there should be no buttons, strings, ribbons or anything else that a baby can pull down and put into his mouth.

Is the baby’s body fit for this toy? For example, many parents are willing to buy larger bikes for their baby so that they don’t have to buy new bikes the next year. However, this practice may lead to injuries to the baby, because the baby’s body can’t control the larger bicycle well.

Is the toy intact? Old toys given by relatives and friends or old toys purchased in the second-hand market are worn and sometimes can cause harm. In fact, whether new or old toys, parents should check the buttons, batteries, ribbons, eyes, beads or plastic accessories on them, because they are easy to be bitten or broken by children.

Are there any strings over 30 centimeters long on the toys? This rope is very easy to wrap around the baby’s neck. Once the baby can climb with his hands and knees, remove the rack and bed bell from his bed. In addition, special attention should be paid to toys manufactured several years ago, such as wire telephone.

Check the swings and slides in the neighborhood. See if these facilities are solid and safe. Make sure there is no danger of strangling or jamming the baby.

Buy reliable safety toys manufactured by regular manufacturers, do not choose fake and inferior products.
