    Best Timetable for Baby Care

    by Emma W. August 26, 2019
    written by Emma W.

Some smart young parents, after reading a lot of parenting books, will find that if the baby’s age, growth and development, nursing points and so on are listed one to one, the result is actually a “timetable” — recording the best time to implement various nursing work. This is undoubtedly a shortcut, as long as the mother can grasp the key points, childcare work will become twice the result with half the effort.

The Best Time to Buy the First Pair of Shoes for Children — Learn to Walk

If the baby can’t walk yet, the shoes are meaningless to him. Moreover, wearing shoes too early will affect the normal growth of the baby’s feet. So, don’t worry. Wait patiently until your child can take steps and waddle toward you. In the joy of “baby can walk”, a lovely and suitable pair of shoes is the best gift you give him.

So, what does a baby who can’t walk rely on to protect his feet? In fact, in the room, if the temperature is suitable, parents can let him bare his feet or wear slid-proof socks.

The Best Time for Children to Sleep — 19:00 to 22:00

“I really want to know if there’s a magic time for my baby to fall asleep as soon as it arrives.” But there is no such good thing. But I can tell exhausted new mothers that by the time your baby reaches 4 to 6 months, most of them will be able to sleep all night, and you can start to develop a regular routine for your baby. When will the baby sleep? From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., it depends on your family’s living habits and the needs of other family members.

    Proposal

Let the baby go to bed before he feels sleepy, so that he can learn and get used to sleeping by himself. Some activities that help the baby calm, such as bathing and breastfeeding, can make it easier for the child to fall asleep.

No matter how old the child is or when he is used to falling asleep, the most important thing is to make him stick to his schedule, including holidays and weekends.

The Best Time to Measure Temperature — Morning

Even if the baby does not have a fever, his temperature will change in a day. Usually it’s low in the morning and high in the afternoon.

If the baby’s temperature in the morning is 37.2 degrees Celsius, then he may have a fever, and if measured in the afternoon, such results can be regarded as normal. Usually, in the afternoon, if the baby’s temperature is over 37.5 degrees Celsius, he may have a fever.

    Proposal

Taking the temperature in the morning can help parents understand their baby’s physical condition more clearly.

Best Time to Take Antibiotics — Before and During Meals

The first principle in taking antibiotics is to follow the doctor’s advice. Parents should carefully remember every word the doctor said. In addition, parents need to learn more medication-related knowledge.

    Proposal

Some medicines stimulate the intestines and stomach, so it’s better to take them with food, but some medicines are taken on an empty stomach. As for other medicines, If the doctor has no special request, you can try to let the children eat them when they are about to eat.

The Best Time to Go Out and Play — Before 10:00

The best time for children to play outdoors is before 10 a.m., so that their delicate skin will not be damaged by intense solar radiation. In addition, parents should take some sunscreen measures for their children, and sunscreen should be applied at least 20 minutes before going out.

    Proposal

In the afternoon and noon, parents should let their children stay at home. There are three important reasons: 1. Avoiding pollution. Especially in cities, pollution is always getting worse with the passage of time in the day, children with respiratory diseases should be more careful, polluted air will increase the incidence of asthma; 2. In spring and summer, flowers and trees often release more pollen after noon, so allergic symptoms will become severe in the afternoon. 3. Surveys have shown that children’s accidents mostly occur in the afternoon, because children are usually tired at this time, so they are more likely to fall.

The Best Time to Leave the Pacifier — Four Months later

Babies generally do not have to suck reflexes after 4 months, so parents can consider removing their pacifiers. Wait until seven or eight months to do this, it will be more difficult, because by this time, the pacifier has become a child’s comfort. But anyway, you should let the baby give up pacifier at 12 to 15 months, otherwise, the pacifier will affect the normal development of the baby’s teeth and mouth.

    Proposal

At first, you can remove the pacifier only when the child is awake; teach the child to say goodbye to the pacifier after waking up, and then leave it in the cot; then gradually remove the pacifier when the child naps, and finally transit to sleep at night without the pacifier. Although the first few nights the baby will be very uncomfortable, but with the persistence of parents, the baby will slowly get used to it.

The Best Time for First Teeth Examination — 4 Months to 1 Year Old

Experts believe that when a child begins to grow teeth or reaches the age of one, he should be taken for the first dental examination, so that doctors can confirm whether the baby’s deciduous teeth grow normally and whether there is the possibility of tooth deformity. But some experts suggest that taking children to have their teeth examined can be delayed to three years old, and it’s not late.

The Best Time for First Eye Examination — 6 Months

It is almost impossible for a child of only one or two years old to cooperate with you in completing a comprehensive ophthalmic examination. But pediatricians still advise parents to take their child for an eye exam when he is 6 months old, and then check regularly to ensure that the child’s eyes do not show problems and that his vision develops healthily.
